Where possible and appropriate, local objectives have been linked to those in the Federal strategy in order to give the community some national standards and outcome measures with which to compare its own progress. Priority One is built upon the foundation of its 2 Impact, 3 Strategy, and 10 Program Objectives. For each of these objectives there are provided in these projections:
Peformance measures provide tools to track, measure, and steer our progress on the communitys path to Priority One. Selection of the specific measures have been based on the consent of local experts involved in The Miami Coalitions Strategic Planning Process as to what is realistically achievable in the time frame provided. The next phase is to develop implementation activities and responsibilities for each of the Program Objectives. Individuals, organizations, public and private agencies, businesses, schools/universities, and the faith community will be asked to incorporate the objectives of Priority One into their own programs and activities. A series of strategy implementation Community Planning Forums will be held through the summer and fall of 1998. Please complete and return a Priority One Response Card to receive notification of these Community Planning Forums. ____1. Sloboda, Z,. Davis, S.
